Empathy
A funny thing happens when you raise the EQ of a child – their IQ also increases! Empathy is the ability to understand and share the emotions of others. Through your gentle encouragement and support of your child and the design of the program, empathy is cultivated from a young age to help your child relate well to others and make lots of friends! Our philosophy at Shichida at Home is ‘if you engage their hearts, you engage their minds’.
Photographic Memory
When children are still young, they are able to use the part of their brain that stores eidetic images or extremely vivid snapshots. Shichida at Home uses eidetic image training to enhance photographic memory in children so that they will be able to continue to use it right through to adulthood!
Image Training
After winning gold at the Olympics, you will often hear athletes say that they have already pictured themselves winning gold 100 times over in their head! Image training not only helps kids to clearly visualise their goals; it broadens their imaginations, increases empathy and builds their vocabulary to enhance creative writing.
Fine Motor Skills
Developing fine motor skills is particularly important for young children – they can improve their balance, dexterity and increase their independence through being able to dress and feed themselves. Strong fine motor skills are essential to complete tasks such as holding and writing with a pencil, unbuttoning and buttoning, zipping, using cutlery, tying shoelaces or being able to call someone in an emergency. Numeracy
Shichida at Home creates a solid foundation for mathematics through counting, matching numbers, addition, subtraction, division, multiplication as well as mathematical songs and games. No child will fall behind at school with Shichida at Home’s fun yet advanced education in numeracy.
Literacy
Shichida at Home enhances literacy skills through reading, writing, phonics, songs and poetry. We build their vocabularies through flashcard inputs and opportunities during image training that allows for visualisation and description of many different scenarios to help with creative writing. Critical Thinking
Critical thinking is the intellectual ability to apply knowledge in order to reason, solve problems or make judgments. Shichida at Home teaches children how to learn – they learn the rules so they can break them later! Spatial Awareness
Spatial awareness is the organised knowledge of objects in space in relation to oneself and the environment.
